jabberwockyx: Quadrant’s Day Cupcakes! I was just looking through pictures on my computer and realized that I forgot to upload this to Tumblr! And I thought I would. For Valentine’s Day this year, I decided to make cupcakes to send to my sisterwives cgeez, queenofbaws, and actus0rea. And what better way to celebrate with Homestuck-inspired cupcakes? I decided to make them in individual glass jars for easy transportation so that they wouldn’t slide around and frosting wouldn’t get everywhere in transit, and as far as I know, it worked out pretty good! Each cupcake represents a different quadrant, so I made labels for them with their corresponding quadrant on the front and the cupcake descriptions on the back. I color coordinated them to the best of my ability, so this is what I made: Matespritship (Red): Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frostingKismesissitude (Black): Dark chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frostingMoirallegiance (Pale): Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frostingAuspisticism (Ashen): Oreo cupcakes with chocolate frosting (I had planned on doing oreo frosting too to continue with the grey theme but had chocolate left over from the kismesissitude one and was at the point where it was like nope fuck it I’ve already made three batches of cupcakes, I’m done. xD) Pro tip: Don’t put frosting on a cupcake while it’s still hot. My auspisticism cupcake completely collapsed so the majority of that jar was frosting. Oops. So that’s what I did for my Valentine’s Day. And even though this post is like a month past Valentine’s Day, who says you can’t make quadrants cupcakes any other day of the year? You never need an excuse for cupcakes. Obviously.
